Happy 4th of July! We had so much fun with the family this year! Thought I would just share some fun photos from this past weekend. Jenny, Judy, and me...being EXTRA patriotic! I think Kanye West needs a pair of these sunglasses!
Of course, if I can find any reason to make cupcakes, I will!
My sister-in-law, Karen, is one of the best cooks I know! I helped (I mean, watched) her make this delicious mac n' cheese and baked beans! I made an appearance in her kitchen, drank some wine, and acted like I was doing something, haha. I'll have to share this recipe later!
Justin's cousin, Meriza, made these wonderful "Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Cookies." They are amazing. I keep trying to convince her to start a food blog, simply so I can follow it!
Meriza and that contagious smile of hers!
Mom and Don (Justin's dad)
Justin...
My perfect husband! hehe....perfect for me!
My sister-in-law, Karen, sporting one of my Perfectly Perrywinkle Headbands!
Cameron is such a big help! He insisted on helping to clean up! Love the cheetah print broom, Jen!
The three most handsome boys I know!
We LOVE games! It wouldn't be 4th of July without games. Uncle Swen helping Ethan and Brady fill up water balloons for the ultimate water balloon toss.
Competition in action! We are serious about competition in this family. I've been wanting to start an ongoing Family Olympic Games.
Of course, the water balloon exploded on me! Swen must have thrown it too hard, because it definitely was NOT my fault.
I'm pretty sure that Brady won with this AMAZING catch!
Mom and Cameron taking a hammock break! Mom sporting her "Sweet Simplicity" headband! And yes...I pretty much force my family members to wear my headbands, haha, jk!
Don looks "super excited" to take this photo! Haha! (Don's in the middle with the blue shirt!)
July 4th Celebration at Carmel Country Club! The weather was absolutely beautiful. We spent the day at the Carmel pool filled with great food, fun music, and lots of fun games. Watermelon eating contest, cream pie throwing, virtual surfing, pool relays, big splash contests, and even an adult-only dive for beer in the deep end!
Me and Cameron attempting the virtual surfboard. I guess this is the beach bum version of the mechanical bull!
Even Uncle Sam came to visit us. He then proceeded to do a flip off the diving board with his clothes on.
Later that night, Carmel turned the entire driving range into a huge carnival, complete with rides, games, funnel cakes, and cotton candy.
Justin trying to win me a prize!
On the other hand, I was NOT good at this game. It MUST have been rigged.
Once the sun went down, the fireworks show began!
My newest Perfectly Perrywinkle fan, Miss A, with her "Yankee Doodle Dandy" Headband!
Swen and little Cameron watching fireworks and wearing matching shirts!
Swen, Cameron, Karen, and Mom! I think Cameron liked the glow sticks more than the fireworks!
Justin and I, with his parents, Don and Judy.

Dad...we missed you so very much today! You were always the best partner in the 3-legged race! Thank you so much for raising our family at such a wonderful place as Carmel! You are the only reason Justin and I are able to members there today and now raise our family there too one day! I think I love it there even more now because your spirit seems to radiate from every inch of that club!
I know this rainbow was a sign from you this 4th of July reminding us to Choose Joy and celebrate our countries independence! I literally jumped out of the car while it was still moving to take this picture. This rainbow was coming straight from your resting place at Magnolia Gardens!
We love you Dad!
What a wonderful weekend! We are so very blessed! I am so thankful to have our freedom! Thank you to our wonderful troops who so lovingly defend our country!
Looks like so much fun! Love to see other families & their traditions.

ReplyDeleteThanks Meghan! We used to go to the beach every year, but have now found it so much easier to avoid the crowd. Once we have kids, I think it wud be fun to go back though!

An instance is a socket-head cap screw with an ID hex used with a hex wrench to drive within the screw. Other examples embody the quite common Phillips head, a Torx head, and numerous proprietary shapes designed for security purposes so that the fastener can't be simply removed. On an high precision machining everyday chucker lathe, the part stands out and is pushed away — that's, deflected — as you begin eradicating materials. But on a CNC Swiss machine, the material strikes and the instruments are stationary, so could be} far less deflection.
